Freedom from fear

Would you like to be set free from Fear? These truths will show you how to arrive in a place where you can be free from fear.

Freedom From Fear

God desires that we are free from all fear. The world tells us to deal with our fears, accept your fears, live with your fears. But this is not Gods will His desire is that we give all our fears to Him by seeking Him out and by walking in His great love we rise above and are delivered from all fear.

1John 1:5 (says) This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

God is light, He is all light, for in Him is no darkness at all. Fear is not from God therefore it must be from another source.

In the garden of Eden something cataclysmic took place. Adam disobeyed God not trusting His Word and the results was man went from victory to defeat losing the spirit of God that was upon him. Before this act of disobedience there was no fear in man before only perfect harmony with God and His creation a greenhouse of the Fathers love. Man’s heart was filled with God’s love in eden before the act of distrust in the Fathers Word.
Lets read that record.

Genesis 3:8 And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
9 Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” 11 And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”

Now Adam and Eve disobeyed and they hid themselves, Why? because of fear. God said; who told you, you were naked. It was not from God, it was the devil who told them they were naked and he was the source of the thoughts that brought fear upon them.
There are basically two kinds of fear in the bible one that is right is a reverence a respect for God that is based on love. The other kind is where we have doubts, worries and fear being afraid of persons, places or things, what might happen or appears to be happening. This kind of fear which has its source in the devil, may be based on either a person, a place or a thing. Fear binds, and enslaves us and keeps us from living and speaking who we really are and therefore manifesting who our heavenly Father says we are.

Proverbs 29:25
The fear of man brings a snare,
But whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe.

Fear ensnares us it traps us. But when we put our trust in the Lord we are made sure we are made safe.

You may fear a person, you may fear being in some place such as an elevator or in an airplane, or you may fear some kind of animal or something like a spider or snake.

2Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

This word fear means fear, timidity. That is not the kind of spirit that God has given to us so its source must be in Satan. Fear will cause you to cower, not to speak up for what is right and to not stand in a place of fearlessness. There is no rest or peace in a place of fear but our thoughts are in turmoil instead. Our Father clearly tells us He has given us power, love and a sound mind. The unsound mind has fear but not the mind of Christ which we now have. We must choose to respond with the mind of Christ that is the Word God has given us.

We are not to fear man.

Numbers 14:9 Only do not rebel against the LORD, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the LORD is with us. Do not fear them.”

Isaiah 8:12 “Do not say, ‘A conspiracy,’
Concerning all that this people call a conspiracy,
Nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.

God told Abraham not to be afraid, not to have fear.

Genesis 15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”

We should ask is God our shield and our great reward?
Surely He is and over and over he says to us “fear not” this expression is found 63 times in the King James bible. You cannot be in a place of genuine peace, God’s rest if you have fear. God tells us that when we believe Him it is a place of joy and peace.

Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

When we choose to enter into God’s rest by believing, having trust, and confidence in our Father we will be in a place of peace in our heart.

Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

We are to Let God peace rule in our hearts, for this to be accomplished we must accept His truth that brings peace over what the circumstances are telling us. This is shown over and over in the Scriptures. Matthew chapter eight shows this so clearly.

Matthew 8:23 Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him.
24 And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. 25 Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
26 But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

How could Jesus sleep in the boat with these hurricane like conditions abound him? (Notice it says great tempest not just a tempest.) We must of necessity ask ourselves this question. Jesus was not senses ruled, he was filled with and led by the spirit and lived accordingly (so he thought accordingly). The disciples here are senses ruled, The influence and input of the senses dominated their lives at this point but not Jesus.

Why were the disciples fearful? Because they were of little faith in reality they had little or no believing. Because they were senses ruled not spirit led and filled.

Look what it says about Abraham.

Romans 4:20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.

Was Abraham fearful?
No in no way was he fearful here.
Was in a place of unbelief having no rest or peace?
No he was in a place of rest and peace for he did not waver (doubt) God through unbelief but he was what?
“strengthened in faith, giving glory to God ... being fully convinced (persuaded) that what He had promised He was also able to perform.

How did Abraham get to this place that Romans 15:13 says is a place of joy and peace. He fully rested on the promise of God not relying on what his senses were indicating to him. Abraham’s senses indicated it was impossible for him to have a child he was too old his body could not produce what was needed for a child, nor could Sarah his wife bear a child (she was past menopause). But it did not matter in light of the promise of God. God is able and God is willing and He will always perform His Word when it is believed.

How can we enter Gods rest and have true peace and joy?
By fully recognizing His truth is greater then any situation or circumstance, person or thing our senses are telling us are greater then His promise. They are not but the fear will fade as the we take His promise(s) to heart. Find the promise of God that deals with your situation take it deep within your mind confessing it, holding fast to it, settling it into your heart and the reality of that promise is yours.

1John 4:17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.

Today, now in our trials and temptations Gods love is perfected in us by His spirit in us.

1John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

What kind of fear dwells with God pure love?
None, His love in us cast out some fear? No it cast out all fear. Man says some fear is good, live with your fear. No, God says His loves casts out (eliminates) all fear. So if i have fear its not a fear problem it is a love problem an opportunity to walk in the love of God that has been shed abroad (poured out Ro. 5:5) in our hearts and has been perfected in us by the holy spirit that dwells in us.

Psalms 34:4 I sought the LORD, and He heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears.

Only seek the Lord God and He will deliver you from all your doubts, worries and fears.
